Micah Mulder – Student of the Week!

Micah plays Kabalevsky’s Cavalry Gallop

Micah Mulder is eleven years old and in the sixth grade. Besides being a wonderful pianist, composer and saxophonist, he loves biking, playing legos, drawing, telling jokes, exploring in the woods and shooting his bow and arrow. In this video, you are watching a spirited performance of Dmitri Kabalevsky’s Cavalry Gallop!

Eliza Mulder- Student of the Week!

Eliza loved these two pieces by Seymour Bernstein – “Swoosh and Crash” which depicts ocean waves crashing on the rocks below the composer’s summer home in Maine and “Silvery Path,” depicting a moonlit path where Mr. Bernstein raccoon friends played at night.
Eliza is nine years old and attends Cushing Elementary School in Scituate. She loves her animals, riding her bike, and playing with her siblings – Micah, Clayton and Naomi. She is an amazing pianist, as you can see, and is especially interested in the fact that Mr. Bernstein happened to write a whole collection of pieces about the raccoons he “befriended” at his summer home.

David Won, Jr. – Student of the Week!

It’s a bit harder than usual to see and hear each other during these times, so we’re going to highlight a student each week – and post a video of his/her playing!

Here is our FIRST student, David Won, Jr., playing Chopin’s Prelude Op. 28 # 20 in c minor. David is a sophomore at Norwell High School and, besides piano, he loves to sail, travel and hang out with his sister, Diana! Please enjoy this performance!
